FAQs

BOOKINGS, CANCELLATIONS & PAYMENTS

  • For one-off sessions (Paint your Own Pottery, Curated Sessions), bookings are refundable up to 72 hours before your session. Between 72 and 12 hours, we’re happy to transfer you to another date or issue a studio credit for future use. Within 12 hours of your session, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

For ongoing classes, cancellations can be made up to 3 hours before the session. After that time, refunds are not available.

For full details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

  • If you do not attend your scheduled session or class and have not cancelled within the required timeframe, your booking is considered a forfeited session.

    No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • If we need to cancel a class or event, you can choose to transfer to another date, receive a studio credit, or request a refund. We will always aim to make the process smooth and straightforward.

  • Once you begin sketching or painting a Paint Your Own Pottery piece, it becomes yours and must be paid for during that session.

Because the design remains visible, even if unfinished, the piece cannot be resold or reused.

This helps us keep sessions flowing smoothly and ensures every piece on our shelves is ready for the next creative guest.

GENERAL STUDIO INFORMATION

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

  • Glazed pieces from classes and workshops are held for 4 weeks after you receive your pickup email.

Due to limited storage space, uncollected work after this time becomes the property of Clae Space.

  • Bisque-fired work is held for 4 weeks. If it hasn’t been collected, we’ll send a reminder email.

If we don’t hear from you within two weeks of that reminder, the pieces become the property of Clae Space.

  • PYOP pieces are usually ready around 2 weeks after your session. Once you’ve received your notification, pieces must be collected within 4 weeks.

  • Pieces are typically ready within 1 week of drop-off for either bisque or glaze firing, unless otherwise advised. Please discuss with the studio rep when you drop off your pieces.

  • Yes. All pieces must be weighed at drop-off and a firing slip and firing waiver (first time only) completed to ensure everything is tracked correctly.

  • Payment is due upon drop off of work. If for some reason, there isn’t a studio rep there to process the payment, an invoice will be issued that will be due before the pieces can be picked up.

  • Fired work is held for 5 weeks from drop off. After that time, uncollected pieces become the property of Clae Space.

  • At drop-off, a member of our team will advise you of the expected collection date. This verbal timeframe provided at drop-off is the official notification of readiness.

All holding periods are calculated from that advised collection date, so we recommend noting it before leaving the studio.

  • We intentionally keep most classes smaller, typically between 3 and 16 participants, to maintain a calm, supportive and focused creative environment.

For private events and team-building workshops, we can host larger groups of up to 30 participants. These sessions are structured differently from our regular classes and include additional staffing to ensure a well-supported and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  • Bring a water bottle and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

We provide aprons, clay, tools and glazes.

  • Yes. We are an inclusive and supportive studio and welcome people of all abilities, including neurodivergent individuals and those with visible or hidden disabilities.

If you have access needs, sensory considerations, or would benefit from adjustments, please reach out before your session. We’re always happy to have a conversation and prepare where possible so you can feel comfortable, supported and at ease in the space.

Support workers are welcome to attend for free. If this applies to you, please contact us prior to booking so we can ensure the session is set up appropriately.

  • Our studio has a kitchenette, a tea and coffee station, and toilet facilities.

  • We are lucky to have a lot of parking in our area! There is parking available across from our studio and up the ramp. We just ask that you don’t park in front of our neighbours warehouses.

  • There are a couple of lovely cafes near the studio. Soul @ Micky’s is a 1 min walk from the studio and Miner’s Gold is a 1 min drive. Both are great stops for a relaxing coffee and nibble whist your children get creative. Otherwise, we are fortunate to be right near the Aqueduct Trail. Walk to the end of the street, towards Micky’s Fitness and join the track at the start. There are many different sections to enjoy and lots of furry friends!
