Clae Space is a community-focused pottery and creative studio offering classes, workshops, memberships, and firing services. By booking a class, purchasing a gift voucher, or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Studio Conduct and Safety
Treat the studio, tools, and others with respect.
A clean studio is a safe studio.
We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment that encourages creativity as an individual expression.
Follow all safety instructions.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult unless enrolled in a supervised class (i.e. Tweens Club or After School Kids Club or School Holiday sessions)
Closed shoes are required.
Behaviour & Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service or ask participants to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to others or the studio. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
Liability
Participation is at your own risk. Clae Space is not liable for personal injury or loss/damage to property, except where required by law. In addition, Clae Space is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio.
Kiln Firing Services
All pieces must be labelled. We are not responsible for damage or glaze faults during Firing. A Firing Waiver must be signed prior to firing. Work must be collected within four weeks of notification or will become property of the studio.
Firing Services and Finished Work
No refunds for breakages or glaze results beyond our control. If a firing fault is our responsibility, we will offer a reasonable remedy.
Uncollected work
We are unable to store uncollected work beyond six weeks due to space limitations. Courtesy reminders may be sent but are not guaranteed.
Bookings and Payments
Payment is required in full at booking. We may cancel or reschedule due to low numbers, illness, or unforeseen circumstances. In that case, you may choose a transfer, credit, or refund.
Late arrivals and no-shows
Late arrivals may join the session however no extra time will be given. No-shows are considered a forfeited booking and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for three years, non-refundable, and not exchangeable for cash. Lost vouchers cannot be replaced.
Photography and Media
We may photograph sessions for marketing purposes. Please inform us before your class if you prefer not to appear in photos. When taking photographs in a kids class, we will not photograph the faces of the children. If you would not like any photos of your children, please notify the teacher.
Intellectual Property
All content and materials created by Clae Space remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accessibility and Inclusion
We welcome participants of all abilities and provide reasonable adjustments upon request. Support workers may attend our classes for free.
Age guide to classes
Some classes are designed for adults or specific age groups. Please check class descriptions before booking, as age suitability varies.
Refund & Remedies Policy
We understand plans change. Our policy balances flexibility with fairness and respects the preparation required for each session.
Change-of-Mind Cancellations
For our Paint Your Own Pottery session, cancel up to 72 hours before your session for a full refund. Between seven days and 72 hours, you may transfer or receive credit. Within 72 hours, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. For our classes, you may cancel up to 3 hours before the class without a penalty. After that time, the booking is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellations by Clae Space
If Clae Space cancels or reschedules, you may choose a full refund, credit, or transfer.
Maker’s Club Terms

Health, Injury & Allergies
Please inform us prior to your session of any injuries, medical conditions, or allergies that may affect your participation. While we take care to minimise risks, clay and glaze materials may not be suitable for all sensitivities
Consumer Guarantees (Your Rights)
Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if goods or services are faulty, unsafe, or not delivered as described.
Force Majeure - Events outside of our control
Clae Space is not responsible for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including power outages, natural events, or government restrictions.
