Friday Morning : Wheel Throwing

9 week course starting Friday April 26 - Friday 28 June (no class on Friday 14 June)

This course is guided by the skill level of the participants - adapted for beginners and  those who would like to expand their knowledge in wheel throwing and clay. A wonderful course to learn more about the medium of clay and the perfect way to unwind in a creative, nurturing setting.

Our 9 week course gives you an in-depth chance to work on all the fundamentals of wheel throwing with clay - from clay preparation, centering and pulling up to decorating and glazing your final pieces. If you have your fundamentals down, then this course will allow you to explore different shapes and ways of wheel throwing.

Under the guidance of Kirsten Formston and Krysten King you will be guided to explore multiple ways of making and learn how to create mugs, bowls, vases and more. Kirsten will be teaching until May 24th and then Krysten will take over for the remainder of the Term.

The final two sessions will be all about glazing! We will show you different glazing techniques and you can explore our in house glaze collection to put the finishing touch of your creations.
