Wednesday Evening : Combo class | Wheel throwing & Hand Building

9 week course starting Wednesday 24 April - Wednesday 26 June (no class on Wednesday 12 June)

This Term we are running a Combo class for you to learn both wheel throwing and hand building!

Over the 9 weeks, Krysten will guide you through the fundamentals of both wheel throwing and hand building. Three weeks will be spent learning the basics of each technique and then you'll have a week to work on a project of your choice using either technique.

The course will cover the principles of wheel throwing - from clay preparation, centering and pulling up - and the different hand building techniques - pinching, coiling and slab building. 

At the end of Term, you will have two glazing weeks which will allow you to explore the different ways you can use our in house glaze collection and different techniques to put the finishing touch on your creations.

This course allows you to learn more about clay and explore two main techniques of creating ceramics - what a perfect way to unwind in a creative, nurturing setting!

You will come away with pieces ranging from mugs, bowls, cups, vases to incense burners and candle sticks!

• Week 9 - Glazing

• Bisque firing included
• Glaze firing - 7.5kg included, extra kgs charged at $12p/kg

• Clothes you don't mind getting messy in
