We are so happy to partner with Moons of Neptune Ceramic Collective to introduce this supportive, inclusive pottery course for adults of all abilities.

Starting on Saturday July 26 from 2–4pm for 8 weeks, this NDIS-friendly course is a welcoming, supportive hand-building program for adults of all abilities (support workers and carers are welcome to attend free of charge).

This class is designed to welcome EVERYONE and provide a safe and inclusive space - whether you have a disability, are neurodivergent, have a hidden disability, have sensory needs or no disability at all - you are welcome in this class.

We will work with each person and strive to be sensitive to everyone’s needs. We encourage students to discuss any support needs they might have  - we can also do this confidentially with a disability trained pottery teacher.

There will be two hands-on experienced teachers and a maximum of 8 participants, so you'll receive plenty of support as you explore clay through mindful hand-building techniques, at your own pace.

As the term progresses, we will also check-in with all students to see how everyone’s going – so we can adapt as needed.

This program is delivered in partnership with the brilliant Moons of Neptune Ceramic Collective, a ceramic collective for Potters who may have a disability, be neurodivergent or have other experiences that mean they would like additional support showcasing and selling their work. The Collective aims to create a warm and inclusive community for Potters with additional needs.

What's included:

  • Up to 5kg of fired work (extra charged at $12/kg)
  • Stoneware clay
  • A wide variety of tools
  • Studio glazes
  • Bisque firing
  • Aprons

What to bring:

  • Clothes you don't mind getting messy in
  • Your creative imagination!
