Looking for something casual, with no commitments? Drop in and join us at one of our sessions!
If you have already done a Term course with us or are happy to work independently, we'd love to have you come to a Drop In Session!
During this time you can either expand the work you're doing in your Course or continue to build your skills on a casual basis.
No bookings required and space is available on a first come, first served basis! Wheel availability is based on whether there is a class running and the number of students.
Please note, everyone is required to do an induction prior to starting.
Times: Tuesday from 9:30am - 12:30pm, Thursday from 11am - 3:30pm, Friday from 10:00am - 2:30pm and Saturday from 1:30 - 4pm
Cost: $50 per session
What's included:
- All tools, aprons and cloths

Storage of your pieces for 4 weeks
- Our extensive house made glazes and underglazes
- Reclaim and studio clay
Extras:
- Bisque and glaze firing service at $20/kg for both firing
- Note that we only fire to stoneware temperatures
- 10kg bags of stoneware clay - a selection of clay is available (other clay available upon request)
- Please note: If you bring your own clay, a member of our team will need to see the label to ensure that it is suitable to fire to stoneware temperatures.
- If you use other glazes, a staff member will need to sight them prior to firing and a kiln waiver will need to be signed.

Clae space kids classes have supported my child’s creative development and problem solving skills in a nurturing space and welcoming environment. Alyssa & her team have a warm approach, supporting individual learning styles during their fun filled hand building lessons. My child loves attending both term classes and holiday programs.
We did the pottery+prosecco workshop with Alyssa. Fantastic day with a lot of help and guidance. Everyone finished with multiple pieces that were glazed and fired by Alyssa, that all look fantastic. Highly recommend.
We just did the Pottery and Prosecco afternoon. Relaxed atmosphere, great tuition, we had a fabulous time.
We had a wonderful morning with Judith our teacher. It was very informative, well guided and reassuring when the clay was wobbly and had to bin a few epic fails. A fun and enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to see the results!

My first time ever working with clay so I was a little apprehensive, but I soon relaxed into the class.
I found it enjoyable because Jess was such a patient easy to understand instructor.
I am certainly looking forward to learning to next Monday morning.

My 11 year old and her friend did this session and loved it. They made 3-4 items that look fantastic, then selected what glaze colours they will be and we look forward to collecting the finished pieces. The girls were very enthusiastic about their lesson and teacher. Thank you we’ll be back!
My 3 kids (aged between 7 and 13) participated in wheel throwing workshop during the school holidays and absolutely loved it. They learnt so much and have not stopped asking when they can go back. The teacher was patient and helped each of them learn new skills. Was a great activity, would highly recommend.
Sonja did a wonderful workshop making it easy to get results that are receiving lots of positive comments when I wear the pendants.

My kids love the hand-building classes over the holidays.
It is the absolute freedom to build anything they want that has them hooked.
They spend the week beforehand planning what they want to do and then don't waste a minute getting into it.
Then there's the joy of bringing home their creations and adding to their growing collection.
I love watching their skills, and their confidence grow too.
My 11 year old daughter did both the clay and pottery wheel classes, and thoroughly enjoyed both! I would highly recommend Clae Space.
